Unused CC caps from 5 prior years (TSB < $500k)
2025–26 caps: $30k concessional, $120k NCC, bring-forward bands tied to the $2m general transfer balance cap. Unused concessional carry-forward needs TSB under $500k and rolls off after 5 years. If you are inside a bring-forward period already, the annual amounts differ. General information, not advice.

The cap that costs you is the one you miss
Unused concessional cap room carries forward for five years if your total super balance was under $500k last 30 June. For most earners the check is simple arithmetic; near the cap it decides whether a sacrifice increase is worth doing before June.
Division 293 is a threshold, not a cliff
Above $250k of income plus concessional contributions, an extra 15% applies — but only to the part of contributions over the line. The checker shows the estimated extra tax, which is usually still worth paying versus taking the salary.
Frequently asked questions
